Mezz (Wed 27 Mar)
If you missed last week's meeting for all registered smallbore members, please attend an urgent meeting TODAY (Wed) at INTERVAL in the Mezz. The purpose of the meeting is to organise everyone into their teams for the year so that we can start trainings next week.

Interested in Youth Work

We have an opportunity for up to 2 students to achieve a NZ certificate in Youth Work (44 Level 3 credits) working with Youthline throughout terms 2 and 3 on Wednesdays 1 - 3pm. If interested please come to Careers to find out more.
Game Dev club
A4 (Thu 28 Mar - Interval)
Game dev club is an afterschool programme where you learn about creating your own video games, game mechanics, creative coding solutions and team work.
Ideal for students you are interested in games and technology. We will starting in term 2 on Wednesdays from 3:15 to 5:00pm.
If this sound like something you are interested in come to A4 during interval on Thursday 28th March. This is provided by an outside company so there will be a cost implication.

Morning drops offs / Afternoon pickups
College grounds (Mon 25 Mar - see notes)
Morning drop off - Please note that parents are required to drop your students off at Bracken Road/along from the school gate, due to the safety of students and congestion of cars/taxis trying to arrive at the LSC building.
After school pick ups - Please organise a Bracken Road location to collect your student/s and not on school grounds. Again due to the safety of students and congestion of cars/taxis trying to depart from the LSC building.

Due to the huge amount of lost property so far this term, a table has been set up in the Student Reception foyer, please come to identify and collect.
Students - if you have lost / misplaced any item, please come to the Student Reception after checking your previous class room/s.
Smaller items of lost property can be sighted at the counter -

Fitness Centre (Wed 20 Mar - 3.30-5.30 pm)

Every year at Newlands College, we form a Poly Club. Beyond the general enjoyment of each other's company, we also put together a fifteen minute set of Pasifika song and dance to perform at Regional Poly Fest. This festival is held at Te Rauparaha Arena and all the schools from the Lower Wellington Region come together to celebrate and perform together. The club is open to all Pasifika and non-Pasifika peoples. If you are a senior student, there are gain dance credits in store. We meet Wednesday after school from 3.30 - 5.30.
